Given the present situation in the fertilizer market, Grupa Azoty has urged its authorised fertilizer distributors to actively support producer groups, cooperatives and farmer groups to ensure the expected level of fertilizer availability on the domestic market. In its letters sent to distributors, the Company has urged them to immediately analyse fertilizer resale streams so that the needs of Polish farmers are covered first.

In the three months to June 30th 2021, the Grupa Azoty Group posted a net profit of PLN 168m, an increase of PLN 111m on the same quarter of 2020. In the second quarter of 2021, the Group’s consolidated revenue was PLN 3,173m, up PLN 904m year on year. EBITDA amounted to PLN 361m (up PLN 46m year on year), with EBITDA margin at 11.4% (down 2.5pp year on year).
Grupa Azoty Chorzów S.A., Poland’s oldest fertilizer manufacturer and member of the Grupa Azoty Group, is adding specialty calcium fertilizer Calhumus Extra to its portfolio. The new fertilizer is produced from 07a chalk deposits with a high content of organic matter and humic acids. This is another fertilizer in the Grupa Azoty Group’s portflio that fits with the objectives of the European Green Deal.
Since the very onset of the pandemic, the Grupa Azoty Group has been actively involved in supporting various institutions combating COVID-19.
